Punjab police has arrested 'Waris Punjab De' chief Amritpal Singh on Saturday. Police had launched search operation for Amritpal and his aides from Saturday morning.
Reportedly police has detained six of his close aides and deployed heavy police force in the Moga district.
Internet has also been suspended across the state till Sunday 12 pm. Meanwhile, the Punjab police urged the people to maintain peace.

Some supporters of 'Waris Punjab De' chief shared some videos on social media claiming that policemen were chasing them.
A video also showed Amritpal sitting in a vehicle and one of his aides could be heard saying policemen were after 'Bhai saab' (Amritpal).
Another supporter in a field shared a video in which he was claiming that policemen were after him.

Last month, Amritpal and his supporters, some of them brandishing swords and guns, broke through barricades and barged into the Ajnala Police Station on the outskirts of the Amritsar city, and clashed with police for the release of one of Amritpal's aide.
According to reports, police personnel have surrounded him at Mehatpur village in Jalandhar's Shahkot. All roads in the village has been sealed with huge barricades by the police as they have information of Amritpal arriving at the village.
Amritpal and his supporters had staged a massive protest when Lovepreeet Singh was arrested in connection with a kidnapping case.
