The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the UGC-NET December 2022 cycle results this week. The exams were held in five phases for 83 subjects from February 21 to March 16.
Candidates can check the results on ugcnet.nta.nic.in once they are published.
More than eight lakh students appeared for the exams held at 663 centres in 186 cities. The NTA had release the answer key on March 23 and given candidates time till March 25 to raise objections, if any.
The NTA conducts UGC-NET exams twice a year. The exam is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor’ in Indian universities and colleges.
Awarding of JRF and eligibility for Assistant Professorship depends on the aggregate performance of the candidate in Paper-I and Paper-II of UGC-NET. The candidates qualifying only for Assistant Professorship are not to be considered for the awarding of JRF.
Candidates who qualify the eligibility test for Assistant Professorship are governed by the rules and regulations for recruitment of Assistant Professor of the universities/colleges/state governments concerned, as the case may be, as per information published on the NTA website.
