While addressing the nation on the 100th episode of 'Mann Ki Baat' radio broadcast on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that 'Mann Ki Baat' is a reflection of Mann Ki Baat of crores of Indians, it is an expression of their feelings. He said that 'Mann Ki Baat' gave him the platform to connect with the people of India. 

"Be it Swachh Bharat, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, issues raised in Mann Ki Baat became public movements," said PM Modi. 

Earlier, the Prime Minister took to Twitter to honour the event, stating how "this has been a truly special journey, in which we have celebrated the collective spirit of the people of India and highlighted inspiring life journeys."

To mark the historic event, the broadcast will be aired live at the United Nations headquarters. According to the Permanent Mission of India to the UN, the show will be aired in Trusteeship Council Chamber at the UN headquarters. "#MannKiBaat has become a monthly national tradition, inspiring millions to participate in India's developmental journey," the Permanent Mission of India to the UN tweeted.

The show will also be broadcast at the Consulate General of India in New York, and at community organisations in New Jersey for the members of the Indian-American and diaspora community. BJP's overseas units and other non-political organisations have been roped in to ensure that the radio broadcast gets the maximum outreach abroad.

The party has made extensive preparations to ensure that people across the country listen to it. BJP sources said a mass outreach programme is being planned to ensure that the 100th episode is aired at 100 venues on average in every assembly constituency.  

"In order to make the broadcast of the 100th episode of 'Mann Ki Baat' historic and to give it a comprehensive format, the Bharatiya Janata Party has released a detailed programme under which unprecedented arrangements are being made for its telecast at about 4 lakh booth level centres across the country," BJP national general secretary Dushyant Gautam said.

The whole exercise is being monitored by party president J P Nadda who will participate in these events at different locations in the country.

Arrangements have also been made for eminent citizens to listen to the programme at all Raj Bhavans and the homes of chief ministers of the BJP or its allies across the country. Padma awardees from all states have been invited to attend the events at Raj Bhavans.

BJP MPs and MLAs will be in their respective constituencies to oversee the exercise, with Nadda and other senior party leaders holding several video conferences in this regard. "It will be organised on a large scale in more than 100 places in every Vidhan Sabha, in which local MPs, MLAs, other elected public representatives, senior party functionaries and party workers are involved in the coordination of the programme," Gautam said.

Along with this, civil society, various social and other organisations from across the country are also coming forward to participate, he said.

In the Mann Ki Baat' radio broadcast hosted by Prime Minister Modi, he addresses the people of the country on different issues. It was first aired on October 3, 2014, and is broadcast on the last Sunday of every month at 11 am on the entire All India Radio and Doordarshan network.
