Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in poll-bound Rajasthan on Wednesday, where he inaugurated infrastructure projects worth over Rs 5,500 crore.
Modi, who arrived in Rajasthan’s Nathdwara, was received by Governor Kalraj Mishra and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. The Prime Minister later visited Shrinathji Temple in Nathdwara to offer prayers. People lined up on both sides of the road and showered flowers on the Prime Minister's cavalcade en route to the temple.
According to the Prime Minister's Office, Modi will dedicate and lay the foundation stone for various development initiatives in Nathdwara. The Prime Minister also visited Shantivan complex of Brahma Kumaris, a religious organisation and laid the foundation stone of a super speciality charitable global hospital, second phase of Shivmani old age home and extension of nursing college.
Stressing on the infrastructure push being undertaken in the country, the Prime Minister said the government was investing thousands of crores in every sector.
He also took a dig at the opposition parties, stating that some people are so full of negativity that they don't want to see anything good happen in the country.
The Prime Minister added that those who measure everything with votes are unable to devise plans keeping the country in mind. "Some people in the country have become victims of such a distorted ideology; they are so full of negativity that they do not want to see anything good happen in the country," he said without taking names.
"They only like to create controversy. History is witness that for sustainable development and rapid development, it is necessary to create modern infrastructure along with a basic system, " he added.
The prime minister also said priority was not given to infrastructure development earlier due to this thinking. "If a sufficient number of medical colleges had already been built, then there would have been no shortage of doctors, he said.
