An under-construction bridge over the Ganga river collpased in Bihar's Bhagalpur on Sunday. No casualty has been reported.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has directed the Building Construction Department's Additional Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit to constitute an enquiry committee to investigate the matter and take strict action against the erring officials.
“The incident of under-construction bridge collapse happened at around 6 pm. No casualties reported till now. Local administration on the spot, we have asked for a report from 'Pul Nirman Nigam,” a top district official told ANI.

Nitish had laid the foundation stone of the bridge, which connects Sultanganj and Khagaria districts, in 2014.
Bhagalpur District Magistrate Subrat Kumar Sen told PTI, “Yes, I have received the information that 4-5 pillars of the Aguwani-Sultanganj under-construction bridge collapsed. The administration is in touch with officials of the department concerned."
The moment the bridge collapsed into the river was caught on camera by local people.
