Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be addressing a mega-rally at Lakhisarai, Bihar on Thursday. It is just after days of opposition meet in Patna, Shah is arriving in the state for the rally in Munger Lok Sabha constituency.

Shah will offer prayers at Ashok Dham before attending the public meeting.

Shah is scheduled to arrive in the afternoon at the airport, where he will be received by senior BJP leaders including party's state president Samrat Choudhary and union ministers from Bihar.

Ahead of Shah's visit, security has been beefed up in the Munger Lok Sabha constituency.

"Munger Lok Sabha segment has always been remembered for its association with Bihar's first Chief Minister Shri Krishna Singh. Today, the local MP is sitting in the lap of the RJD," said Vijay Kumar Sinha, BJP MLA from Lakhisarai.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar last week hosted major opposition party meet in Patna, which was attended by parties including, Congress, TMC, and AAP.

Ahead of Shah's visit the ruling Mahagathbandhan in Bihar, comprising JD(U), RJD, Congress and the Left, listed out 12 questions for him to answer during his speech. JD(U) national secretary Rajib Ranjan Singh came out with the questions.

The Munger Lok Sabha seat is currently held by Ranjan, also known as 'Lalan'.

The questions were relating to the past electoral promises by the BJP including the two crore jobs every year, doubling of farmers' income and refusal of the Centre in accepting “one nation, one tariff” demand of the state government in the power sector.

“Ever since Bihar was having the so-called double engine government, Shah never bothered about the state. But he seems to have grown obsessed with Bihar ever since the BJP was thrown out,” said RJD spokesman Mrityunjay Tiwari.

Notably, Munger is also a Lok Sabha seat which has been won by the BJP-led NDA many times.

Lalan has won the seat twice, with the BJP as his party's ally on both occasions.
