Congress appoints election observers for five poll-bound states

Rajasthan, MP, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram will go to polls this year

The Congress, on Monday, appointed election observers for assembly poll-bound Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram. All the five states will go to polls this year.

Madhusudan Mistry has been appointed as senior observer for Rajasthan and Sasikanth Senthil as observer, while party general secretary Randeep Surjewala has been picked as the senior observer for Madhya Pradesh and Chandrakant Handore as observer.

Former Uttarakhand PCC chief Pritam Singh has been appointed senior observer for Chhattisgarh and Meenakshi Natarajan has been made observer for the state.

Deepa Dasmunshi has been made senior observer for Telangana with Sirivella Prasad as observer. Sachin Rao has been made the observer for Mizoram.

The Congress is already in power in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. The party is looking to upset the BJP in Madhya Pradesh and the BRS in Telangana.
