Two boys, aged 10 and 15, were allegedly forced to drink urine and were tortured with chilli powder that was applied to their private parts over suspected theft in a shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh's Siddharthnagar district. Six people were arrested in connection with the case.
The boys were reportedly caught for stealing chicken from a poultry shop in Konkati crossing that comes under Pathra Bazar police station limits. In the video, a group of men are can be seen threatening to beat up the boys if they didn't drink urine and eat chillies.
The two children were stripped naked and the accused rubbed green chillies on their rectum. The duo was also injected with petrol, according to Times Now.
"A viral video on social media has come to notice in Thana Pathra Bazaar regarding objectionable acts with two minors. After taking note of the viral video, cases have been registered under relevant sections. Six people have been nabbed in connection with the incident. They will be presented in court,” the district's ASP Siddhartha said in a video tweeted by ANI,
Police cyber unit swung into action after a constable who was a member of a WhatsApp group where the video got circulated informed his seniors and a police team led by the cyber unit got on the case, said reports.
Police have slapped the six accused with charges under the Pocso Act as well as IPC sections 307 (attempt to murder) and 377 (unnatural sex).
