The team of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) official will continue the scientific survey of the Gyanvapi mosque complex in Varanasi on Monday.

Since its the ongoing 'Sawan' month, there will be slight delay in starting the survey. This is the fourth day of the ongoing survey by the ASI.

"Survey work is under progress. Anjuman Intezamia Committee is also cooperating with the survey. There can be a little delay to start the survey as today is the fifth Monday of 'Sawan' month," Sudhir Tripathi, an advocate of Hindu side was quoted by ANI.

Meanwhile, Subhash Nandan Chaturvedi, another lawyer representing the Hindu side said that the ASI is conducting survey in a systematic and scientific manner. “Measurements are being done, it will take some time. They will submit the report to the court after the survey is completed," he said.

"The ASI is doing its work smoothly. The Muslim side has followed the court's order and has fully cooperated with the survey. Every modern technique is being used for the survey," Chaturvedi added.

Required analysis is also being carried out by the ASI team. Reportedly, photography, measurement and mapping has been done of all the three tombs. A study is being conducted of the entire campus as well. GDPR machines have also been used for the study.

However, the Muslim side warned that they would boycott the survey if “rumours” are spread that Hindu religious symbols and objects have been found.

The Muslim side did not participate in the survey on Friday, when the scientific survey of the complex began. Syed Mohammad Yasin, joint secretary of the Anjuman Intezamia Masjid, which manages the Gyanvapi mosque, said the Muslim side and its advocates were present during the survey on Sunday for second day.
