With just days remaining for the G20 summit, final stage preparations are underway in Delhi ahead of the world leaders visit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to hold bilateral talks with US President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Biden will be arriving a day before the event for the bilateral discussions. According to the White House, Biden-Modi bilateral meet will take place on Friday. The two-day G20 summit will begin on Saturday.

Reportedly, Macron is set to hold bilaterals with Modi after the G20 meet on Sunday.

Wide range of topics including efforts to tackle global issues, clean energy transition and combating climate change will be on the table for discussion.

Delhi Police on Sunday held full dress rehearsals escorting carcades from different parts in the national capital. Traffic regulations were imposed on Mahatma Gandhi Marg, IP Flyover, Rajghat Chowk, Shanti Van Chowk, Saleem Garh Bypas, Bhairon Road, Ring Road, Mathura Road, Shershah Road, C-Hexagon, roundabouts at Mansingh Road, Gol Methi, Teen Murti, Yashwant Place, Brig Hoshiyar Singh Marg, and Tolstoy Marg.

The police had advised people to use metro services during the rehearsal. For to and fro commutation from airport, railway station or bus terminals, the police advised people to follow updates on the ‘G-20 Virtual Help Desk’.

Though there will be traffic diversions, city bus service would remain unaffected in most parts.

Meanwhile, G20 is likely to hit services of over 300 intercity and express trains.

According to Northern Railway, services of 207 trains have been terminated, and terminals of 15 trains changed.

Ahead of the world leaders arrivals, chefs at hotels—arranged for delegates stay—are busy setting up the menu. Wide range of cuisines including street food, local and regional is awaiting the guests.

Delicacies from Chandni Chowk, and innovative millet dishes are also on the menu set up at the Bharat Mandapam, where the delegates will be attending the G20 summit.

Special attention is also being given to the gifts for the visiting leaders and delegates with preference given to handicrafts, textile and painting traditions of the country.
