The Enforcement Directorate is conducting searches at around a dozen places in Rajasthan, including the residences of State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra and a few other Congress leaders in the exam paper leak case. The agency conducted similar raids last week in connection with the case.

The raids come in the backdrop of allegations that question papers for the recruitment of government school teachers in the state were leaked to aspirants accepting a bribe of Rs 8-10 lakh. The agency conducted searches at around seven places last week, including the premises of Congress leader Dinesh Khodaniya, and seized ₹ 12 lakh in cash and incriminating documents.

ED’s searches at residences of Congress leaders come as the state is gearing up for Assembly elections on November 25. The premises of Dotasra, a former minister for school education, in Sikar and Jaipur apart from party candidate from Mahua seat in Dausa, Omprakash Hudla, and some others are being searched, they said.

Dotasra is the party candidate from Lacchmangarh seat of Sikar against BJP's Subhash Maharia. He is also the sitting MLA from this seat.

Former RPSC member Babulal Katara and another person identified as Anil Kumar Meena were arrested by the ED in this case. It had first raided multiple locations in Rajasthan as part of this investigation in June.
