Campaigning in Rajasthan, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said Rs 10,000 will be transferred a year to the bank accounts of women and domestic LPG cylinders will be available for Rs 500 if the Congress government is formed again in the State.
Addressing a poll rally, Gandhi said, “Congress will transfer Rs 10,000 per year in the bank accounts of women of Rajasthan. Cylinders will be worth Rs 500 once the Congress government is formed. PM Narendra Modi cancelled the Old Pension Scheme, we have implemented it in Rajasthan and lakhs of people have benefited from it," ANI reported.
Gandhi charged Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not conduct a caste census. “PM Narendra Modi says that there is no caste; there are only poor. When the time came to give rights, then there is no caste. When it is time to promote fighting, then there are OBCs and Dalits,” he said. The Congress leader asserted that Modi will not conduct a caste census no matter what and only the Congress party will implement it.
Gandhi alleged Modi was working for businessman Gautam Adani "round-the-clock". Instead of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai', the prime minister should say 'Adani ji Ki Jai' because he works for him, Gandhi charged at an election rally.
He also accused the prime minister of wanting to make two 'Hindustan', one for Adani and the other for the poor. The Congress has been targeting the Adani group, accusing it of benefiting from the BJP government, and has been demanding a JPC probe into the allegations made by a US Research group Hindenburg.
The Adani-led business conglomerate has denied any wrongdoing on its part.
