Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Ayodhya to inaugurate a slew of development projects ahead of consecration of Ayodhya Ram Mandir. The prime minister will be dedicating development works worth Rs 15,000 crore today.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath along with other senior leaders received PM at the airport. Modi will be inaugurating the Maharshi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya Dham and redeveloped Ayodhya Dham railway station. He will also flag off eight trains including six Vande Bharat trains.
Modi was welcomed by more than 1,400 artists, and they performed folk art and cultural programmes on 40 stages set up along the route from the airport to the railway station.
The prime minister will also address a public rally near the airport. More than a lakh people are expected to assemble for the rally that will last nearly an hour, after which Modi will depart from Ayodhya.
