The Congress party on Thursday renamed Rahul Gandhi-led yatra from Manipur to Mumbai ahead of the Lok Sabha elections as 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra'. The party also shared a detailed route map of the yatra which is scheduled to begin from Imphal on January 14.

Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh, in a post on X, said that the yatra would traverse 6,713 km in buses and on foot, covering 110 districts, 100 Lok Sabha seats and 337 assembly segments in 66 days.

Ramesh claimed that the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra would prove to be as impactful and transformative as the earlier Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.

As per the route map, the yatra will begin from the Manipur capital on January 14 and will move to Nagaland, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya before entering West Bengal.
