Ram temple devotees can now fly to Ayodhya on helicopters

Six helicopters will be available for devotees from January 19

Ahead of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram temple on  January 22, the authorities have announced helicopter services connecting Lucknow and Ayodhya.

Of the six helicopters being deployed, three will be flown from Ayodhya and three from Lucknow, according to the Ayodhya Information Department. 

The services which will commence on January 19. Helicopters have a capacity to carry eight to 18 passengers. Earlier reports suggested that the ride will cost Rs 3,000. However, the schedule and fare rates will be finalised only on Tuesday, following which devotees can pre-book their flights.

Ayodhya Airport Director Vinod Kumar earlier said the list of landings of 100 aircraft on January 22 have been finalised.
