Ram Janmbhoomi temple chief priest reacted strongly on Saturday regarding the viral Ram Lalla picture with eyes revealed and urged a probe must be conducted into the matter. Acharya Satyendra Das claimed the idol with eyes revealed was not the real idol.

Acharya Satyendra Das told ANI, “The eyes of Lord Ram's idol cannot be revealed before pran pratishtha is completed. The idol where the eyes of Lord Ram can be seen is not the real idol. If the eyes can be seen, an investigation should be done on who revealed the eyes and how the pictures of the idol are going viral."

The Ram Lalla idol, sculpted by Arun Yogiraj from Karnataka, was placed inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir on Thursday. The 51-inch tall idol weighs around 200 kilos and was placed inside the temple using a crane. Pictures with the revealed eyes of the Ram Lalla idol went viral on social media. The idol’s eyes were covered earlier.

The pran pratishtha ceremony will be conducted on January 22. The consecration ceremony will begin at 12.20pm and is expected to end at 1pm. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will then address a gathering of over 7,000 people at the venue, Hindustan Times reported.

According to reports, Ram Janmabhoomi Trust officials are concerned about the image leak and are mulling taking stern action against miscreants. Hindustan Times reported that Trust suspects officials involved in the construction of the temple might have leaked the image.
