The treasurer of Ayodhya Ram Mandir Trust has said that the Muslim side should free peacefully controversial Gyanvapi and Mathura sites and Hindus will forget other things.
Talking to ANI, Trust treasurer Govind Dev Giri Maharaj said, “We do not even desire to look at the other temples if these temples are freed because we have to live in the future and not in the past. The country's future should be good and if we get these temples (Gyanvapi and Krishna Janmabhoomi) peacefully we will forget about all other things.”
Govind Dev Giri Maharaj said he is appealing to free all these temples as they are the biggest scars of attacks done by invaders. “I appeal with folded hands to free all these temples (Gyanvapi and Krishna Janmabhoomi) because these are the biggest scars of the attacks done by invaders. People are in pain, if the Muslim side can heal this pain peacefully then it will help in increasing brotherhood,” ANI reported quoting Dev Giri Maharaj.
The Ayodhya trustee’s comments comes amidst the ongoing legal battle over the Gyanvapi site. Following an ASI report, the Varanasi District Court permitted the Hindu side to conduct prayers in the sealed cellar of the Gyanvapi mosque. The Allahabad High Court also refused to stay the lower court’s order.
