Prime Minister Narendra Modi ended his 45-hour-long meditation at Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari on Saturday. Returning from the Memorial, the prime minister offered tributes to the statue of Thiruvalluvar adjacent to the Vivekananda Rock.
Prime Minister Modi began his two-day meditation at the famed Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari on Thursday, after concluding his vigorous marathon campaign for the Lok Sabha elections. Modi reached the coastal town in Tamil Nadu on Thursday afternoon and visited the Bhagavathi Amman temple before taking a ferry to reach the rock memorial to start the meditation.
The prime minister meditated at the Dhyan Mandapam, the same spot where Swami Vivekananda—a spiritual icon admired by Modi—is believed to have had a divine vision about 'Bharat Mata'.
Modi had undertaken a similar meditation exercise in a Kedarnath cave after the 2019 election campaign as well. Modi is aiming for a third term as prime minister with the BJP claiming that the National Democratic Alliance will win more than 400 seats in the Lok Sabha elections.
