A handwritten bomb threat note was found on a Mumbai-bound Vistara flight, which departed from the Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris. A full emergency was declared at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on Sunday morning after thre crew reported about the threat note.

The crew found the threat note on an airsickness bag at 10.08 am and the flight landed safely in Mumbai at 10.19 am. There were 294 passengers and 12 crew members in the aircraft identified as Flight UK 024.

"We confirm that a security concern has been noted by our staff while onboard Vistara flight UK 024 operating from Paris to Mumbai on 2 June 2024," said a Vistara Airlines spokesperson.

“Following the protocol, we immediately informed the relevant authorities. The flight has landed at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai and we are fully cooperating with the security agencies for all the mandatory checks,” added the airline's representative.

This comes a day after a Varanasi-New Delhi Vistara flight received a bomb threat, which later turned out to be a hoax.
