As Assembly Election 2024 counting progresses in Andhra Pradesh, incumbent chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSRCP is being steamrolled by the TDP-Jana Sena-BJP alliance. Nara Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party and its allies are ahead in 127 seats while YSR Congress has been reduced to just seven. Andhra Pradesh has a total of 175 seats.
According to the latest counting reports, Chandrababu Naidu and Co. have made inroads into the YSRCP stronghold of Rayalaseema, where it is leading in over 40 of the 52 Assembly seats. Meanwhile, TDP has managed to perform well in East and West Godavari districts as well. As many as 15 of the 26 YSRCP ministers are trailing in the respective seats, local media reports said.
Jana Sena chief K Pawan Kalyan is leading from the Pithapuram seat while Chandrababu Naidu is ahead from Kuppam. Chandrababu Naidu's son Nara Lokesh is also leading from the Mangalagiri seat, where he lost the 2019 polls to YSRCP in 2019.
YSRCP's Alla Ramakrishna Reddy had defeated the then CM's son by a margin of over 5,000 votes. As per the ECI website at 12:10 PM, Nara Lokesh is ahead of YSRCP candidate Murugudu Lavanya by over 17,000 votes. At the same time, the website showed Pawan Kalyan's lead over the ruling party candidate Vanga Geetha Viswanath's to be over 24,790.
TDP's Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, who made news by declaring family assets worth over Rs 5000 crore, is leading by more than 40,000 votes over his YSRCP rival K Venkata Rosaiah in Guntur.

Andhra Pradesh seat-sharing deal:
As part of a seat-sharing deal among NDA partners, the TDP was allocated 144 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha constituencies while the BJP will contest from six Lok Sabha and 10 Assembly seats. Janasena will contest two in Lok Sabha and 21 Assembly seats. Andhra Pradesh went to polls on May 13 for 25 Lok Sabha and 175 Assembly seats.
