Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Results: When the asset details of some of the candidates in the fray were declared before the Election Commission of India (ECI) during the affidavit submission, people were astonished. Some of the candidates across states and party lines declare assets worth crores. From Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani of the Telugu Deaam Party in Andhra Pradesh, who is fighting to the Assembly, to Karnataka Congress MP DK Suresh (Bangalore Rural) and BJP's industrialist-turned politician Navin Jindal, here are 10 affluent candidates who are awaiting their fate from different parts of the country.

1. TDP's Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, who made news by declaring family assets worth over Rs 5,000 crore, is leading by more than 40,000 votes over his YSRCP rival K Venkata Rosaiah in Guntur.
2. Konda Vishweshwar Reddy of BJP, who has assets worth over Rs 4,568 crore, won from Telangana's Chevella seat by a margin of 1,72,897 votes. His nearest rival Dr Gaddam Ranith Reddy of Congress polled 6,36,985 votes while Vishweshwar Reddy managed 8,09,882.

3. Pallavi Shrinivas Dempo, who is in the fray for BJP from the South Goa seat, had declared assets worth Rs 1,361 crore. She lost to Congress candidate Captain Viriato Fernandes by a margin of 13,535 votes. Dempo polled a total of 2,04,301 votes against Fernandes's 2,17,836.
4. Industrialist Navin Jindal owns assets that are worth over Rs 1,230 crore. Pitted against Congress's Abhay Singh Chautala from Haryana's Kurukshethra seat, Jindal polled 5,42,175 votes and won by a margin of 29,021 votes.

5. Son of Congress veteran Kamal Nath, Nakul Nath lost to BJP's Bunty Vivek Sahu from Chhindwara seat by a margin of 1,13,618 votes. Nakul reportedly owns assets worth over Rs 716 crore.
6. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani's TDP colleague Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy is fighting from the Nellore Lok Sabha seat. The man who owns assets worth over Rs 750 crore, is heading by a giant margin of over 2,36,396 votes.
7. Pitted against JD(S) stalwart HD Kumaraswamy from Mandya is Venkataramane Gowda a.k.a "Star Chadru" of the Congress. The "crorepati" with assets worth over Rs 620 crore, lost to the former Karnataka Chief Minister by 2,84,620 votes.
8. Ashok Kumar of AIADMK, who is fighting from the Erode seat of Tamil Nadu cited assets worth of Rs 660 crore. As the DMK alliance managed to win all seats in the sotuthern state, Ashok Kumar tasted defeat to KE Prakash of DMK by over 2,32,467 votes.
9. Karnataka Congress MP DK Suresh has assets worth over Rs 580 crore. The brother of KPCC chief DK Shivakumar, Suresh lost to BJP's Dr C Manjunath by 2,69,647 votes from Bangalore Rural seat.
10. Santrupt Misra of Odisha's Biju Janata Dal reportedly owns properties worth over Rs 460 crore. The former Human Resource head of the Aditya Birla group, who contested from the Cuttack Lok Sabha seat lost to nearest rival Bhartruhari Mahtab of the BJP by 57,077 votes.
