A Delhi court on Wednesday dismissed Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s interim bail petition in a money laundering case linked to the excise policy scam. Kejriwal had requested seven days bail citing medical reasons.

The Rouse Avenue Court extended the AAP leader’s judicial custody till June 19. The court, however, directed Tihar Jail authorities to conduct all required medical tests and avail treatment for the applicant.

The court is scheduled to take up on June 7 Kejriwal's application seeking default bail in the case. Kejriwal was produced before the court via video conferencing.

The chief minister surrendered at Tihar Jail on June 2 after his interim bail granted by the Supreme Court to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections ended. After his surrendering, Kejriwal was produced before the court which sent him to judicial custody till June 5.

The AAP leader walked out of jail on May 10 after the top court granted him interim bail which expired on June 1, the day when the seventh and last phase of the general elections was held.
