BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya sent a legal notice to RSS member Santanu Sinha over the “false and derogatory post" in the wake of allegations of sexual harassment against him.

Congress leader Supriya Shrinate, in a press conference, alleged that "RSS member Shantanu Sinha, related to BJP leader Rahul Sinha has said that the BJP IT Cell head Amit Malviya is indulged in nefarious activities."
She claimed that Amit Malviya sexually exploited women "not just in 5-star hotels but in BJP offices in West Bengal."

She had sought justice for the survivors and demanded that Amit Malviya be removed from his position immediately.

"The reality is less than 24 hours after PM Modi was sworn in, serious charges of sexual exploitation have been levelled against a very prominent office bearer of the BJP, the head of its IT cell."

She said as Amit Malviya occupies an "extremely influential position", there can be no independent probe as "it is a position of power."

There cannot be justice unless and until he doesn't get removed from his position, she said.

In the wake of the allegations, Amit Malviya sent a legal notice to Santanu Sinha saying that the nature of the allegations is "extremely offensive." The notice said the allegations are "fatally injurious to the dignity and reputation" of the BJP leader and that "Such malevolently malicious statements have been deliberately made to tarnish his reputation."

“That the aforesaid defamatory, scandalous, false and reckless statement and post have been widely published circulated, and read by the public at large and have lowered the dignity of my client in the eyes of the public,” the notice further said.
