A Delhi Court extended the judicial custody of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s aide Bibhav Kumar in the alleged Swati Maliwal assault case till June 22.

The Tis Hazari Court extended Kumar’s custody on Saturday on the expiry of his judicial custody period. The Delhi police arrested Kumar from the chief minister's official residence for allegedly assaulting AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal on May 13. 

An FIR was registered against Kumar on May 16 under various Indian Penal Code provisions, including those related to criminal intimidation, assault or criminal force on a woman with the intent to disrobe and attempt to commit culpable homicide. Kumar was arrested by police on May 18.
