A chilling CCTV footage of the shooting incident that unfolded at a Burger King outlet in Delhi’s Rajouri Garden emerged on social media on Thursday. 

Aman Joon, 26, from Haryana's Jhajjar was killed after being shot multiple times by two men inside the food outlet.

The video footage shows the two men posing as customers, suspected to be part of the Himanshu Bhau gang, sitting behind Joon. Joon was seen sitting with a woman, who the police suspect to be involved in the crime. Seconds later, the men opened fire on Joon and there was chaos in the outlet. Though the customers and the staffers rushed to attend to the victim in a desperate attempt to save him, he died on the spot. 

According to the police, the killing is suspected as the consequence of an ongoing war between jailed gangsters Neeraj Bawana and Ashok Pradhan.

According to a senior police officer, the gang might have used the woman to call Joon at the food joint. She had fled the scene, possibly with his mobile phone, after the shooting, said the official.

A case under section 302 (punishment for murder) of the IPC was registered and an investigation was underway.

Meanwhile, gangster Himanshu Bhau claimed responsibility for the attack on social media. In a social media post at 11 pm on Tuesday, the fugitive gangster said that members of his gang were responsible for the crime and it was revenge for the murder of their associate. 

“Today, the murder that took place in Rajouri Garden... for that, I, Himanshu Bhau and my brother Naveen Bali take the responsibility. This man had a role in the murder of our brother Shakti Dad and revenge for the murder has been taken today.”

Joon is suspected to be part of the Ashok Pradhan gang, which has an old rivalry with Bhau's gang.
