The Delhi High Court is set to hear the Enforcement Directorate’s plea challenging Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the liquor policy case. The Court stayed Kejriwal’s release until the hearing in the matter is over.

The central agency approached the vacation bench of the High Court for an urgent hearing of the matter as Kejriwal is all set to be released from prison on bail on Friday.

A vacation bench comprising Justices Sudhir Kumar Jain and Ravinder Dudeja accepted ED’s plea to hear the matter urgently. Assistant Solicitor General S.V. Raju, appearing for ED, said they were not given full opportunity to oppose the bail application. Meanwhile, advocates Vikram Chaudhari and Abhishek Manu Singhvi, appearing for Kejriwal said the ED should gracefully agree with Rouse Avenue Court’s judgment.
