The special investigation team (SIT) probing allegations of sexual abuse and rape against suspended JD(S) leader and former Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, on Friday, brought the accused to his house for inspection.
The action by the police team comes days after a special court in Bengaluru remanded Prajwal Revanna to judicial custody till June 24.
Prajwal Revanna was arrested in connection with a case registered against him in Holenarasipura in Hassan district on April 28. Prajwal Revanna has been booked in three cases of sexual assault.
The cases of sexual abuse came to light after pen drives containing videos allegedly involving Prajwal Revanna were circulated in Hassan, ahead of Lok Sabha elections in the constituency on April 26.
He had left for Germany on April 27, a day after Hassan went to elections. The police arrested Prajwal Revanna soon after he landed at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport from Germany on May 31.
The SIT will again subject Prajwal Revanna to medical examinations. During the hearing, the former MP told the court that the process of these medical examinations was causing him embarrassment.
