A day after a video of a girl hanging from the top of a building, risking her life to make an Instagram reel, in Pune went viral, police have initiated action. The Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station has arrested a man and woman for performing the risky stunt. 

The youngsters were identified as Mihir Gandhi, 27 and Minakshi Salunkhe, 23. Meanwhile, a third person involved in the making of the video is, reportedly,  absconding.

Police took cognisance of the video shot in Narhe and traced the man and the woman involved in the act after the video went viral on social media.

"A case has been registered against them under section 336 (endangering life or personal safety of others) of the IPC," said a senior police official.

The incident took place near Swami Narayan Temple in Pune on Thursday.

The video, which went viral on social media, showed a man shooting the video from the ground. Another person was leaning close to the edge of the roof to shoot the video. There were no safety precautions taken by anyone. Apparently, they were testing the “grip strength”.

The video had raised a lot of eyebrows with many criticising the act. Social media users called the act "reckless" and urged the police to take action against them.
