The Central Bureau of Investigation on Thursday arrested two persons from Patna in connection with the probe into alleged irregularities in conducting NEET-UG examinations.

The central agency arrested Manish Prakash and Ashutosh from Patna, for their alleged involvement in the NEET question paper leak in Bihar. Allegedly, two dozen students got access to the leaked question paper through them.

CBI officials in the know of the development told NDTV that Manish Kumar facilitated the transportation of students in his car and allegedly also arranged an empty school where at least two dozen students were given the leaked paper and they memorised it. Ashutosh allegedly provided accommodation for the students at his residence.

According to officials, the duo were arrested after they were summoned for questioning. Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government has decided to hand over all NEET-related probe in the state to the CBI.
