Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge slammed the President's address during the Motion of thanks in Rajya Sabha, stating that there was neither vision nor direction in it.

The first address was for elections and the second was a copy of it. There was nothing for Dalits, minority sections and the backward classes in her address. There was neither vision nor direction in the President's address. Like the last time, it was just about full of words of appreciation for the government, "Kharge said.

The Congress leader also slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that while opposition parties talk about the common man, PM Modi only does his 'Mann Ki Baat'.

Kharge said the Prime Minister's was an expert at giving slogans and had not visited Manipur, which has been burning from the last one year. He also accused Modi of trying to divide society through his speeches during the polls, stating that o prime minister has done this before.

He also appealed to the Rajya Sabha chairman to put back statues of Mahatma Gandhi, B R Ambedkar and that of other leaders in their original places in Parliament complex.
The Congress chief also raised the issue of alleged NEET irregularities and the airport roof collapse incident.
