The NEET-PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, Post Graduate) exam, which was cancelled as a pre-emptive step amid the ongoing controversy over alleged irregularities in competitive exams, will be held this month.

According to an NDTV report, question paper for the test will be prepared just two hours before the exam.

The NEET-PG exam was scheduled to be held on June 23. After the exam was postponed, the government had said it would thoroughly assess the robustness of the processes of NEET-PG.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is expected to announce the date for NEET-PG 2014 on Tuesday. The details of the exam is set to be available on the website of NBEMs, natboard.edu.in.

According to media reports, the NBE has shared a plan regarding the exam with the Centre, and the approval is awaited.

The NBE sources said a big exam like NEET PG requires greater care and preparation. "So, we cannot announce the exam dates without first discussing and getting a green signal from TCS, our logistics partner, and the government," Indian Express quoted NBE sources as saying.

A few days ago, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had said the date of NEET-PG will be announced by the NBE in one or two days. The Union minister had said this after the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced revised dates for three exams that were cancelled.
