Organ transplant racket busted in Delhi, victims charged over Rs 25 lakh

The Delhi police busted an organ transplant racket with Bangladeshi links on Tuesday. Police have arrested seven persons in connection with the crime.

According to police, the Crime Branch of Delhi police arrested seven persons including a doctor for running an organ transplant racket and they charged a hefty sum for transplant. The racket reportedly had Bangladeshi links.

Police told ANI that the racket was active from 2019 and they used to charge Rs 25-30 lakhs for each transplant. According to police, both the donor and receiver hailed from the neighbouring country.
