The Supreme Court on Tuesday accepted Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia’s bail plea and issued notices to the Enforcement Directorate and Central Bureau Investigation in the liquor policy case.

Hearing the case, Justices B.R. Gavai, Sanjay Karol and K.V. Viswanathan directed the central agencies to file their responses and the apex court will hear the case next on July 29. The Supreme Court disposed an earlier bail plea of the former Delhi deputy chief minister and allowed him to revive the petition once the chargesheet is filed in the case.

Sisodia has approached the apex court challenging the Delhi High Court’s order rejecting his bail plea. The AAP leader was arrested by the agencies in connection with an alleged scam in the scrapped liquor policy. The CBI arrested him on February 26 and ED on March 9 last year. Sisodia resigned from the Delhi cabinet on February 28.
