The city- and centre-wise results of the controversial medical entrance exam NEET-UG released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday revealed some centres in Rajasthan's Sikkar and Gujarat's Rajkot have a high concentration of well-performing students.

The result data of over 32 lakh candidates from 4,750 centres was released on the direction of the Supreme Court. The top court is hearing several petitions over the alleged irregularities in the entrance exam.

Takeaways from the city- and centre-wise results include:

1) The candidates who allegedly got their hand at the question paper have not scored well in the exams.

2) The students of centres currently under the CBI scanner did not do well either. These include Oasis School, Hazaribagh, Jharkhand; Hardayal Public School, Jhajjar, Haryana; Jay Jalaram International School in Godhra, Gujarat.

3) While Haryana's Hardayal School earlier had six students scoring 720 out of 720 marks, revised results show no one scored above 682. Of the total 494 students who appeared for the exam, the highest score was 682, achieved by only one student.

4) At Oasis Public School, where the principal was arrested for the paper leak, the highest score was below 700. Seven students scored above 650, 23 above 600, and 46 above 550.

5) At Jay Jalaram, 1,838 students appeared for NEET. The highest score was under 700, with five students scoring above 650. While 14 scored above 600, 31 got above 550.

6) However, over 240 candidates who appeared for the exam at a test centre in Rajkot scored over 600 marks, raising brows. At the Rajkot-based School of Engineering, RK University, test centre, 12 scored 700 and above -- one got 720, two got 710, four got 705, one got 704, one got 701 and three scored 700.

 7) In Rajasthan's Sikar, more than 150 candidates from a centre have scored above 600 marks. The marks of 83 from another centre in Sikar was also above 600 but below 700. As many as 2,037 students from the area have secured more than 650 marks, and a total of 4,297 students have achieved scores above 600. Twenty-nine of the 50 top-performing centres are located in Sikar, which experts call unprecedented. The average of candidates scoring above 600 in Sikar is much higher than the national average.

8) Forty-five candidates of the Model School centre in Haryana' Rohtak scored more than 600 marks.

9) Among those who took the NEET-UG in Lucknow's SDSN Mahavidyalaya centre, more than 45 scored above 600.

10) The court will resume hearing the arguments in the matter on Monday on a batch of pleas seeking cancellation, re-test and a court-monitored probe into the allegations of malpractice
