At least 8,302 people were accommodated across 82 relief camps. Autopsy was completed on 167 bodies. Of these, 96 were identified including 77 men, 67 women and 22 children, according to district authorities.

The Army is setting up bailey bridges brought from Bengaluru and Delhi amid adverse weather conditions in the region. Nine districts were issued yellow alert and holidays were declared for schools in 10 districts. IMD expects the rain to lose intensity in central and northern Kerala on Thursday.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will chair an all-party meeting during the day. Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will visit Wayanad on Thursday after postponing it due to adverse weather conditions on Wednesday.
