The actor was conferred the honorary rank of lieutenant colonel in the Territorial Army in 2009, considering his honest portrayal of men in uniform in movies.
The actor has contributed Rs 25 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. Earlier, appreciating the relief works being done by the Territorial Army, Mohanlal said he was feeling grateful for their efforts.
