IMD weather news August 5 to 10: "Heavy to very heavy rainfall" is very likely at isolated places in and central Maharashtra on August 5, Monday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a weather release. Heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places in western parts of Madhya Pradesh from August 5 to 10, the weather forecast released on Sunday said.
Meanwhile, Kerala, which witnessed deadly landslides in Wayanad district should brace for "heavy rainfall" on Monday, it added. Scattered rainfall is likely for the next five days in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and interior Karnataka, the IMD said.
In the northeast region, "very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh on 7th -09th, Assam & Meghalaya on 04th -06th & 09th, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura on 05th, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim on 05th & 06th August."
