IMD weather news August 5 to 10: "Heavy to very heavy rainfall" is very likely at isolated places in and central Maharashtra on August 5, Monday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a weather release. Heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places in western parts of Madhya Pradesh from August 5 to 10, the weather forecast released on Sunday said. 

Meanwhile, Kerala, which witnessed deadly landslides in Wayanad district should brace for "heavy rainfall" on Monday, it added. Scattered rainfall is likely for the next five days in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and interior Karnataka, the IMD said.

In the northeast region, "very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh on 7th -09th, Assam & Meghalaya on 04th -06th & 09th, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura on 05th, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim on 05th & 06th August."

Southern India:

• Fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall over Kerala, Lakshadweep and coastal Karnataka till August 9, Friday
• Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh and interior Karnataka may get scattered rainfall during the next five days
• Heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places in Kerala and Tamil Nadu on August 5
• Heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places in coastal Karnataka on August 5 and 6

Uttar Pradesh and Northwest India weather news:

• Isolated heavy rainfall very likely over Jammu-Kashmir on Monday and Wednsesday
• Himachal Pradesh can expect heavy rainfall till August 10, Saturday
• Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi region very likely to get isolated heavy rainfall on August 7 and 8
• Isolated heavy rainfall likely in Uttarakhand on Monday
• Isolated very heavy rainfall likely over western regions of Rajasthan during till August 6, Tuesday
• Isolated very heavy rainfall likely in Uttarakhand on August 6 and 7
• Western regions of Uttar Pradesh likely to witness heavy rainfall during August 6 to 10t; eastern Uttar Pradesh during August 5 to 10
• Western Rajasthan is predicted to get heavy rainfall on August 9 and 10, while the same is expected in eastern Rajasthan on August 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10

Gujarat and central India:

• Chhattisgarh should brace for heavy rainfall from August 6 to August 10
• Central Maharashtra very likely to get heavy to very heavy rainfall on August 5, Monday
• Gujarat may witness heavy to very heavy rainfall on August 5, Monday
• Heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places in western Madhya Pradesh from August 5 to 10; eastern Madhya Pradesh on August 5, 7, 9 and 10

West Bengal and Northeast India:

• Isolated heavy rainfall very likely over:
