After a violent incident involving two minors led to communal tensions in Rajasthan's Udaipur, the house that was rented by the accused boy's family was demolished by authorities, reports said. On Friday, a class 10 boy was stabbed by a classmate at a government school, triggering communal violence in the city.

On Saturday, the rented accommodation of the accused minor's family was found situated on "encroached" forest land by authorities.  Rajasthan Police reportedly told the press that the forest department had issued a notice to the family on Saturday morning. However, the owner made no mobe to produce any document proving ownership of the land following which the house was razed down.

Landlord cries foul

Meanwhile, some media reports said the owner claimed that four different families were residing in the said building and all of them were evicted sans giving reasonable time to make alternate arrangements. While concerned municipal officials were on leave, police paid no heed to his requests, the landlord was quoted as saying by Indian Express. The boy's family moved to the house of a relative.

The student injured in the attack is undergoing treatment at the district hospital while the accused and his father have been detained. He was attacked right outside a state-run school in Bhattiyani Chohatta.

The condition of the boy is stable, news agency PTI reported. Three doctors were rushed from Jaipur to Udaipur by a special plane to ensure his safety.
