In a shocking incident, an NRI was shot at by armed attackers at his home in Amritsar, Punjab on Saturday. The entire shooting incident was captured on the CCTV camera installed in the victim’s house. Sukhchain Singh, a US resident, had returned to Punjab just a month back.
In the CCTV visuals, the attackers were seen entering the house and pointing the gun at Singh.
Singh's family along with his children from the first marriage were present at the house during the incident. Three shots were fired at him in front of the family members. His family was seen pleading to the attackers with folded hands.
Amritsar: 2 assailants entered the home of an NRI -Sukhchain Singh, in broad daylight and shot him multiple times in front of his family. It's painfully to watch a child and an old woman, begging the assailants to leave.

According to officials, the bullets hit him in the head and chest. Singh was rushed to hospital in Amritsar with critical injuries.

Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said an investigation is underway and a search has been launched to nab the assailants.
The police are actively pursuing leads through the CCTV footage as they intensify their search for the criminals.
In the wake of the incident, Shiromani Akali Dal spokesperson Arshdeep Singh Kler expressed concerns about the security situation in Punjab. "Today's incident demonstrates gangsters continue to roam freely in Punjab," he said.
A forensic team had reached the spot and an investigation is underway, police said.
Meanwhile, Singh's wife alleged that the family of his first wife was behind the attack.
