Bengaluru power outage August 31: Several neighbourhoods in Bengaluru city limits will experience power outages on August 31, Saturday, between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. The Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) and the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) have confirmed that the electricity supply will be interrupted for scheduled maintenance works on Saturday.
BESCOM and KPTCL are set for upgrades to receiving stations and distribution transformers on Saturday which will take several hours to complete. While electricity is expected to be restored by 3:00 pm, some neighbourhoods will have to wait till 6:00 pm.

IAS Colony, KAS Colony, N S Palya Industrial Area, Bilekahalli Main Road, Jayanagar 4 T, 9 Block, East End, BHEL Layout, NAL Layout, Tilak Nagar, Jayadeva Hospital, Ranka Colony Road, Bismillah Nagar, Vega City Mall, Bannerghatta Main Road, BTM 1 Stage and surrounding areas.
