A video of road rage from Mumbai has surfaced in which a man was seen slapping, kicking and throwing another to the ground -- forcing him to land on his head. The victim, reportedly a cabbie, remained motionless for a while due to the impact of the throw. He landed on his head and needed medical attention for head injuries as a consequence of the assault, reports said.
The violent incident was caught on CCTV in Mumbai's Ghatkopar on August 18. Around 11:43 PM, the cab driven by the victim rammed into a luxury car at a building opposite a mall in Ghatkopar, a police official told PTI. This led to the altercation as the driver of the Audi car into which the cab rammed from behind decided to attack him physically.
The video of the incident, which has gone viral on the internet, showed the cabbie backing up a few inches after smashing into the car ahead of him in what looks to be a parking area. Although the contact didn't happen at a high speed, a few people gathered around. The driver of the Audi first checked if the accident caused any damage to his vehicle before assaulting the taxi driver. Seeing the other party, the cabbie stepped out only to be slapped twice before being suplex behind his vehicle. The fallen man was seen kicked by the assaulter on the CCTV.
While the victim was an online cab aggregator, the Audi driver was in the company of his wife and mother, reports said.
