Pavithra Gowda didn't want Darshan to know about Renukaswamy sending her nude pics, obscene texts: Report

Chitradurga-native Renukaswamy, who was murdered by actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and gang, had sent obscene photos to Pavithra Gowda over Instagram. The man used to send derogatory messages to the woman continuosly, which ultimately led to his torture and murder, news reports said Karnataka Police as saying.

The Bengaluru Police team probing the sensational murder case that shocked Bengaluru said social media platform Instagram confirmed Renukaswamy sending messages to her. An ardent fan of Darshan, Renukaswamy hated Pavithra Gowda for destroying the actor's family life and reportedly backed the actor's wife. 

According to police sources, Pavithra Gowda was haunted by the repeated derogatory texting by Renukaswamy. He sent her his nudes and claimed to be a better man than Darshan, Mirror Now said in a report.

The disturbed Gowda wanted Pavan, a close associate of  Darshan Thoogudeepa, to handle the situation. He wanted the texts to stop without the actor coming to know about it, the report said. However, Pavan revealed the development to Darshan and this ultimately led to the crime.

Darshan wanted Renukaswamy to be tracked down and Pavan started chatting with Renukaswamy from Gowda's account, the news report said. Once the whereabouts of Renukaswamy were thus identified, Raghavendra, one of the accused and part of Darshan's fan club in Chitradurga, was asked to bring Renukaswamy to RR Nagar, the report claimed quoting police reports. 

Direct information was obtained from Instagram to confirm that Renukaswamy messaged Pavithra Gowda's account. The police managed a duplicate SIM of the slain to access his social media handles as his mobile phone is yet to be retrieved. It is believed that the accused threw it in the Vrushabhavathi canal and the efforts to retrieve it to date remain unsuccessful.

According to the post-mortem report, Renukaswamy, a native of Chitradurga, died due to shock and haemorrhage as a result of multiple blunt injuries. He was brutally tortured for hours before ultimately succumbing to the injuries. Pavithra Gowda reportedly slapped him with her footwear while the gang gave electric shocks to the private parts of the victim.
