Renukaswamy's bloodstains found on Pavithra Gowda's footwear, named 'major cause' for Darshan ordering murder: Chargesheet

Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa has been charged with murder, conspiracy, destruction and destruction of evidence by the Karnataka Police in the chargesheet filed on Wednesday, reports said. Pavithra Gowda was a part of the murder of Renukaswamy, a fan of Darshan, the chargesheet reportedly claimed.

The role of Pavithra Gowda in the crime was confirmed by forensic evidence, the Karnataka Police maintained. Bloodstains of the victim were found on Gowda's footwear. A DNA report confirmed that the blood samples indeed belonged to the murdered autorickshaw driver, Mirror Now said in a report.

According to the chargesheet, Gowda was the "major cause" that led to the abduction and murder of the 33-year-old by Darshan's men. The investigation confirmed that she not just instigated Darshan but actively conspired and took part in the crime, Mirror Now claimed sources as saying.

The Karnataka Police have filed the chargesheet against 17 accused in the case. The 3991-page report reportedly includes seven volumes and 10 files.

A fan of the actor, Renukaswamy, sent obscene messages to Pavithra Gowda for her role in allegedly derailing the actor's family. A furious Gowda wanted Darshan to act, and upon his order, the actor's henchmen identified and abducted Renukaswamy. 

Raghavendra, one of the accused and part of Darshan's fan club in Chitradurga, brought Renukaswamy to a shed in R R Nagar on the pretext that the actor wanted to meet him. It was in this shed that he was allegedly tortured and murdered.

According to the post-mortem report, Renukaswamy, a native of Chitradurga, died due to shock and haemorrhage as a result of multiple blunt injuries.
