After the Supreme Court granted bail in the excise policy case, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stepped out of Tihar jail on Friday. While addressing the AAP workers and leaders outside the jail, Kejriwal said they put me in jail to break my morale, but it is higher than ever now.

"Prisons cannot break me…My morale has been boosted 100 times. My strength has increased 100 times,” he said.

“Every drop of my blood dedicated to the nation...even when faced with so many difficulties God has always been with me,” said Kejriwal.

Hundreds of AAP workers and senior party leaders including Punjab Chief Bhagwant Mann and former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia gathered outside the prison to welcome Kejriwal.

The AAP supremo thanked all those who had arrived to welcome him braving the rain.

"Will continue fighting anti-national forces working to weaken our country," he said.

Kejriwal left the jail premises in a car along with his security convoy.

The AAP chief was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on June 26. He has challenged in the apex court the Delhi High Court's August 5 order that upheld his arrest in the corruption case.

The apex court granted Kejriwal interim bail in the money-laundering case on July 12.

Laying down the conditions of his bail, the court said the chief minister cannot go to his office or Delhi secretariat or sign official files.

Kejriwal's release from jail, ahead of the upcoming Haryana and Delhi elections, is set to boost the AAP's prospects. The Haryana polls are scheduled for October 1.
