After Supreme Court granted bail to Arvind Kejriwal in the case registered by the CBI, Manish Sisodia, who was recently released on bail, on Friday asked the ruling BJP to "stop dictatorship".
The former Delhi minister said it is an emotional moment for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). "...Our brother and political guru Arvind Kejriwal is going to be out after all the evil plans designed by the BJP," said Sisodia, adding that the apex court has given a message to the BJP that they have to stop their dictatorship.
He said truth won again in the fight against "lies and conspiracies". Taking a subtle dig at BJP and the Narendra Modi-led government, Sisodia paid tribute to Baba Saheb Ambedkar for "strengthening the common man against any future dictator."
The Delhi chief minister's wife Sunita Kejriwal also reacted to his bail saying, “Congratulations to AAP family! Kudos for staying strong."
AAP sees the latest reprieve from the Supreme Court as a booster ahead of the upcoming elections in Haryana.
Atishi posted on X, saying, "Satyamev Jayate. Truth can be troubled, not defeated."
Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh, who is AAP Rajya Sabha MP, welcomed Kejriwal's release, saying the Delhi CM will continue to dedicate himself to serve the people."
Congress leader Pramod Tiwari recalled the release of Jharkhan Chief Minister Hemant Soren, saying the Centre is "misusing central agencies as the frontal organisations against the Opposition parties."
Welcoming the apex court decision, CPI leader D. Raja said Kejriwal is an elected CM, adding that "we will have to wait and see how the legal course and judicial process will move further because there are some conditions."
