The new NDA government completed 100 days on September 17, which marks Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 74th birthday. As the ministers of various departments hope to show off their achievements in the first three months, the Congress has slammed the Modi for proving to be a "weak" PM in his third term, setting new records for U-turns.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw are scheduled to hold a press meet at 10.15 am on Tuesday. Fisheries Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh and MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi will also hold separate press conferences. Singh will be accompanied by Ministers of State S P Singh Baghel and George Kurian.

The NDA government has also scheduled events across the country to mark its first 100 days in office on Tuesday. This includes a blood donation camp in New Delhi.

Modi said the opposition has made fun of him during the first 100 days of his new term. "But I chose not to respond to any of their insults and ensure the government's 100-day agenda gets fulfilled," said the PM on Monday.

However, the Centre has drawn flak for withdrawing its earlier decisions, including pulling down an advertisement for lateral entry in UPSC as well as scrapping a draft of the controversial Broadcasting Services (Regulation) Bill.

Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate said Modi does not have a solution or vision to resolve India's problems, claiming the PM has a habit of turning a blind eye to issues and running away from problems. Alleging that the 100 days of Modi 3.0 saw "instability, indecision and immaturity", she said the government is trying to inflate a puncture balloon.

"Do you remember the tall claims made during the election campaign that Narendra Modi was planning for the first 100 days? Where is that plan now?" asked Shrinate.

She also slammed Vaishnaw over 38 train accidents in 100 days, killing 21 people and injuring 112 others. "The Railways minister is busy making reels, dismissing these accidents as minor incidents," she alleged.

She listed a slew of infrastructure failures in the recents months, pointing out how the airports in Delhi, Jabalpur and Rajkot could not withstand rains. She pointed out that the sanctum sanctorum of Ayodhya Ram Mandir and the roof of the new Parliament building are leaking while the Shivaji statue broke within eight months. The Atal Setu, the six-lane trans-harbour bridge in Mumbai, and the Sudarshan Setu in Gujarat have developed cracks or potholes, she added.
