The Bihar government in association with the state Fisheries Department, organised an exhibition in Amarpur of Saharsa. The chief guest was none other than Chief Minister Nitish Kumar himself, who, on Friday arrived at the venue and inaugurated a biofloc tank set up for breeding fish...

Then happened the unexpected. Bihar Police personnel and government officials stood shocked and helpless as locals dived into the biofloc tank, minutes after the chief minister left the exhibition ground, to snatch as many fish as possible. There was not going to be an exhibition or breeding and the fishes didn't live to see another day!

The videos from the exhibition ground in Saharsa have gone viral on the internet. Instead of people queuing to see the marine life with family, the viral videos showed absolute mayhem. It showed people crowding all over the tank and trying to grab the aquatic animals before a few of them jumped inside to have a better chance at catching them. It was a minor who stepped inside the tank first, before others joined him, causing absolute carnage to the tank.

Causing further embarassment to the Bihar administration, some locals admitted before the camera that they were never at the Amarpur venue to enjoy the exhibition or listen to CM Nitish. The intention was alwys to get their hands on as many fish as possible. 

"The moment he left, we all rushed towards the tank. Tonight, we will have a fish party in his name," a local youth was quoted as saying by Times Of India.
