Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda suffered a bullet injury during the early hours of Tuesday. The actor was rushed to a hospital nearby and his health is stable, sources close to Govinda said.
The 60-year-old Bollywood actor, who is a licensed owner of a revolver gun, was getting ready to leave to Kolkata on Tuesday morning when he got shot. The actor was about to leave from his Juhu residence around 4.45am when the shooting happened.
Shashi Sinha, the actor’s manager told PTI, “We had a 6am flight to catch for a show in Kolkata and I had reached the airport. Govindaji was about to leave his residence for the airport when this accident happened. The revolver apparently fell down while being kept in the cupboard and misfired. It is due to god’s grace that Govinda ji sustained only leg injury."
Sinha said the injury was not serious, and he was rushed to Criticare Hospital for treatment. The bullet was removed from his leg and the actor’s health condition is stable, Govinda’s manager said.
