Wrestler Vinesh Phogat, the Congress candidate from Julana in Haryana, is heading for a stunning victory in her debut elections. If Phogat wins against BJP candidate Yogesh Bairagi, this would enable Congress to grab the Julana Constituency after a long 19 years.

In the last election, Congress could only come third place in Julana after Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) candidate Amarjeet Dhanda won the seat. The Congress managed to win only 12 per cent of the total votes in the seat.
Meanwhile, former minister and BJP leader Anil Vijj is leading from the Ambala Cantt assembly seat, which he has been holding for the last five terms. Vijj faces Independent candidate Chitra Sarwara, who he defeated with a margin of 20,165 votes in 2019 elections.
Meanwhile, Congress leader and probable Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda is leading from Garhi Sampla-Kiloi seat in Rohtak district which is his stronghold. Hooda had won the seat in the 2009, 2014 and 2019 Haryana assembly elections.
Hooda belongs to the Jat community, which is a strong force in the state with a say in over 40 seats. The former chief minister is reportedly in Delhi now to push his case as the chief minister, as dalit leader Kumari Selja is also vying for the top post.
Meanwhile, things aren't looking good for the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) JJP leader Dushyant Chautala in Uchana Kalan Assembly constituency. Chautala, who is seeking a second term, is currently trailing behind Congress' Brijendra Singh. Exit polls have already predicted that the JJP was staring at a washout.
Abhay Singh Chautala, a veteran politician of the Indian National Lokdal (INLD), is leading from the Ellenabad seat against Congress' Bharat Singh Beniwal in the Haryana assembly polls, as per early trends.
